INTERSTING FACTS ABOUT TODAY'S SONG

While most carols began as hymns, "The First Noel" was originally a folk song, dating back over 500 years.

It was not written down and published until 1833.

It was not used in church services for the first few hundred years. The Church of England began using it with Christmas Eve services in the 1800's.
