IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME

I have been very neglectful in keeping up with this blog. So much has happened since my last entry........so many things have changed. I began thinking of all the changes................so many movie personalities have passed away, I was seriously ill and recovered, new people have come into my life, people once removed from my life have returned, people have gone out of my life, etc.
I realize there is change every second of our lives...some good changes and some bad ones. Every second, we move one step closer to our own mortality...our bodies begin to change and betray us even when our minds struggle to remain the same. People come into our lives and leave...we generally have no control over that. We find a comfortable niche in life and don't want to leave it, but change evicts us from our safe haven. We want certain things to change, but we have little control over most change, whether it be good or bad.
While we become elated with some changes, others terrify us and we fight so hard to protect ourselves from those kind of changes. We need to understand that we can't waste our lives away being terrified of changes. We can't stop the change, we can't keep things status quo. We either live with change or let it destroy us. The human mind, spirit, and soul are very resilent....maybe that is what keeps us from falling apart on a daily basis when change comes our ways.
