Rhett Butler's People

It is another gloomy dreary day in Buffalo, NY. There is little to do to brighten it except maybe talk to my friends on here through this blog.

I had originally invited you to view my blog on Yahoo 360, but I feel that this site will provide for a more creative blog. I would like to include some trivia and thoughts for the day in each blog entry.

If you are a Gone with the Wind fan, then you might enjoy the novel Rhett Butler's People written by Donald McCaig. He is the award-winning author of Jacob’s Ladder designated “the best civil war novel ever written” by The Virginia Quarterly. People magazine raved “Think Gone With the Wind, think Cold Mountain.” It won the Michael Sharra Award for Civil War Fiction and the Library of Virginia Award for Fiction. The estate of Margaret Mitchell approached him to do this sequel. He writes very much in the style of Margaret Mitchell and the transition from GWTW to RBP is quite smooth. So if you would like to wile away the rest of the dreay winter month's, get a copy of Rhett Butler's People and enjoy. And no, I will NOT tell you if Scarlett and Rhett end up together in the book!

Thought for the day: Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back

Today's trivia: Rudd Weatherwax, one of Lassie's trainer nearly lost Lassie as a stake in a poker game. Who won Lassie? (The winner did not keep Lassie, but returned "her" to Rudd.)

So with this tidbit, I will close for today and will look for you tomorrow.

You got this to work!

Experiment and see what works for you. It takes A LOT of time to get it right.
